Devices

Each device is drawn as an icon with shape and color code indicating its type. A shape with a question mark and no antenna, i.e. 'Presumed Device', indicates that data related to this device has not been received directly by the analyzer (see paragraph ‎6.12.2) while an icon with antenna indicates that the data related to this device has been received directly by the analyzer.

The device icon and color code is shown in the Legend window (see also par. ‎9.2.10).

The device icons can be changed using Scripts. See paragraph ‎V.2.11 for details.

After selecting a device or devices (using the 'Ctrl' key), the user can drag and drop them into the Message View or Message Sequence View windows (see chapter ‎4 and the following paragraph ‎7 respectively) by holding the drag-and-drop handle (the drag-and-drop handle looks like a ‘donut’ like shape):

When right-clicking on a device (or after selecting a group of devices), a sub menu appears:

The right-click menu reveals several actions that can be performed like:

Searching for all messages sent from and/or to this device - the results are displayed in a new search results tab of the Message View. In real time capture, the search results tab will get continuously updated with new arriving messages that meet the required criteria – see also ‎4.3.23

Add/remove one or up to 8 devices to the Message Sequence View - accomplished by selecting them (clicking on a specific device or several devices while holding the 'Ctrl' key) and choosing 'Add/Remove to Message Sequence' (see details in the following paragraph ‎7)

Temporarily Hide/Unhide selected Devices from Views

Adding, Editing and Removing user defined notes to selected devices
