Figure 119 – Message View window - Toolbar
Note: Due to screen
resolution and window size some of the icons may be hidden. In order to see the
hidden icons you should click on the icon list drop down menu (this icon will appear on the right
handside of the menu in case of need).
The Message View window toolbar icons perform similar actions to those described within the Message View Top Menu option listed in paragraph 1.1.2.
The following paragraph provides a detailed description of those functions.
• Expand All – expand all sub fields of selected
messages
• Collapse All – collapse all sub fields of selected
messages
Figure 120 – Collapsing All and Expanding All fields in Message View
• Auto Expand – allows managing fields that will be
automatically expanded when on a new message is added to the Message View
window.
Auto-expanded fields will also be shown auto-expanded in the Message
Tree View window (see chapter 5 for details on the Message Tree View
window).
Fields can be added to the auto-expanded list using the two
following methods:
o Choosing a single field from a tree-like menu - when choosing the field to be auto-expanded from the drop-down list and double clicking on it, the chosen field appears in the 'Field' and 'Matching Fields' section. Pressing the <Add> button will add it to the 'Auto Expanded Fields' in the lower section of the form. Any new message moved to the Message View window (Main or Search Result tabs) from this moment on, will have these fields automatically expanded:

o Auto expanding multiple fields at once (smart field list format) – when typing the name of the field to auto expand or part of it, the list of matching fields appears in the 'Matching Field' section of the form. Double clicking on any of the fields in the list will copy it to the 'Auto Expanded Fields' in the lower section of the form. Any new message moved to the Message View window (Main or Search Result tabs) from this moment on, will have these fields automatically expanded.

Notes:
The chosen
field/s for auto expansion will be shown only if it is not part of a block that
is set to be hidden (see par. 4.3.8)
The Auto Expand settings also define which
fields will be auto- expanded when the selected message is displayed in the
Message Tree View window (see par. 5 for details).

Peryton-Traffic Generator Add-On)
