Saving Messages to a new .ANL file

Edited messages can be easily saved into a new data .ANL file Perytons™ format.

48.2.1    Saving Messages from the Time View section

When pressing the 'Save Messages To New Data File' icon (SaveFile) in the Time View window section, all messages currently visible (i.e. not hidden) included in the Time View window section are saved into a new data capture .ANL file:

48.2.2    Saving Messages from the Message View section

When pressing the 'Save Messages To New Data File' icon (SaveFile) in the Message View window section, all messages currently included in the active tab of the Message View window section are saved into a new data capture .ANL file:

Saving messages from the Message View section allows easily saving of selected messages that have been filtered by the user based on chosen criteria (see chapter ‎IV.14) and/or messaged that have been edited by the user (see par.‎1.1), into an .ANL data-capture format file.

Note: Messages will be sorted by their start time and renumbered in the new file.

When opening an .ANL file that contains at least one modified message, a note will be shown in red in the new file form and this will be indicated in the analyzer main window title line by the word '(modified)':

A previously modified message that is included in the .ANL file being loaded will show a relevant tooltip when pointing with the mouse on its Msg field (in both the Message and Message Tree views):

Obviously, these messages cannot be restored to their original value.
