Message Sequence View between a single device and All others

Figure 191 – Message Sequence View – between a single device and All others

Showing the Message Sequence between a specific device and All others is accomplished by selecting the desired single device in Network View and adding it to the Message Sequence View through the right-click menu, or by selecting the device in Network View and then dragging (from the drag-and-drop handle that appears after it is selected - Clipboard-143) and dropping it into the Message Sequence View window.
Dragging and dropping a single selected message from Time View or Message View to the Message Sequence View window (provided that the message is transmitted form a specific device but without a specific destination address – e.g. broadcast messages), results in adding the originating and destination devices of the selected message to the Message Sequence View. If the destination of the message is known, both the source and destination devices will be added.
Devices included in the Message Sequence View can be removed from it by right-clicking on the device section and selecting Remove Device
Clipboard-139.
All the message sequence view can be cleared by pressing on the ‘Delete all Elements’ icon in the Message Sequence View toolbar.

Notes:
The highest layer displayed as a vertical line appears only if the relevant messages included in the Message Sequence View include that layer.
If a Device or layer is set to be temporarily hidden from view (see paragraphs
‎3.2.10 and ‎6.6) its representing vertical line/s will be shown using dash lines.
