• Remove blanks
Ignore blanks when performing a string search. This option is especially useful when looking for hexadecimal strings since these strings are, for user convenience, displayed in groups of four bytes each and separated by spaces.
• Not
Find messages that don't comply with the defined search criteria. For example if searching for 'Not Aps exists' the search result will be messages with NO Application field. If the search is for a string 'Not A5B' in MAC data field, the search will result in all messages that don't have the string 'A5B' in their MAC data.
• Match Case
If this checkbox is marked, searches (for text) will be case sensitive.
If this checkbox is marked, searches (for text) will look for an exact match (e.g. looking for the string 'House' will not return matches such as 'SmallHouse' or 'HouseEmpty').
• Maximum Results
Maximum number of results to be returned by a search action. If for example the user looks for the first beacon message, there is no need to wait for the analyzer to search all messages and display all the results. In this case he may choose to set Maximum Results to 1.
Note: While the search is
being performed, a counter next to the progress bar (in the lower left side of
the Main Window), indicates the number of matches found. The user can then
manually press the sign
to stop the search if the desired number of matches has been met.
