In offline capture mode, this option writes the current captured data to the .ANL file, and loads the file into the analyzer while data capture continues. This is useful when looking to start analysis of the data while keeping ongoing data capture in the background. Each time "Save & Continue" is pressed, the data is written to a new .ANL file with #1, #2 … postfixes to the file name.
Note: Existing files will be overwritten with no prior warning.
After the 'Save & Continue' button is pressed for the first time, the Data Capture form disappears and is replaced by a small icon in the windows short toolbar:

This allows to freely analyzing the already captured data while Data Capture is still in progress. The total number of captured messages (starting from the beginning of the capture session) is displayed on the icon tooltip (shown when the mouse is over the icon):

Right clicking on the icon allows to restore the capture form or to stop Data Capture:
