This section shows the data of the selected message in hexadecimal and ASCII formats:

Each row holds 8, 16, 24 or 32 bytes (as set in the Tree View section of the User Preferences – see par. 19.6), followed by the ASCII value of each byte. Non printable characters are replaced by ‘.’.
The first column indicates
the position of the first byte of the stream.
Notes:
This
indication is also shown in hexadecimal format starting from position number 0,
i.e. '0010' is decimal place number 16.
When choosing a field in
the Tree Section, the relevant bytes representing this field will be highlighted
with pink background.
Some fields (like the info and device section) are
not taken from the data but are deduced based on side information collected by
the analyzer. Therefore clicking on such a field will not highlight any bytes in
the Message Tree View Data Section.
