Some messages include information that was not part of the original message received by the analyzer.

For example, in case of a
long message that has been split to several fragments, the full message content
will be displayed in the last message of the series, and the profile or payload
sections will be shown as part of this last message although their data was
collected by the analyzer from several previously received messages. In this
case (as well as, for example, a decompressed IP header as a result of 6LoWPAN
header decompression), this data will be shown in the Additional Data section.
Pointing on fields that are part of the defragmented data will only highlight
these field bytes in the Additional Data section.
Note: The byte
index of the additional data starts with zero regardless the length of the
original messages.
In case the message didn’t include any ‘additional data’, the Additional Data section will not be shown.
